Garrett Luna player of the week
Mariners continue to win awards. This week Garrett Luna wins go-yard leagues'player of the week for April 26,2008. He pitched 4 shutout innings allowing just 1 hit.AT the plate he was 2-4 with 2 doubles, 4 walks and 3 rbi's. He followed that up with 2 homeruns on Saturday May 3rd including a 3-run and a grand slam for 7 rbi's. Garret is the 3rd 14u north player to win award this year following Austin Grillo and Nick Wolyniec. Last year 3 Mariners won the award Danny Wynne, Pat Kivlon, and Joey Hammond. Good job boys.

Congratulations 14U Blue
Congrats 14U Blue for winning the 14U Wood Bat tournament in Staten Island this weekend. Mariners went 4-0 beating Big League Baseball 6-1 in the final.

13U North finish 2nd
Congratulations to the 13u north squad on advancing to championship of TRIPLE CROWN tournament this weekend. They lost a hard fought final but never quit and pounded the baseball for 5 games. Great work guys.

Congrats Mariners 14 North Team!
Congratulations to Coach Nelson and 14 North Mariners! The Mariners won their division going undefeated in the Ripken Tournament in Aberdeen MD. The Mariners won the semi final round but fell short in the Championship Game losing 9-8. Mariners recieved many compliments from Ripken Personal for their fine display of sportsmanship, class and talent. They were also complimented on their defensive play and execution of fundamentals from the Staff.

Mariner Named 14u "Go Yard" Player Of The Week
Congratulations to Austin Grillo for being named Go-Yard’s “PLAYER OF THE WEEK” for the week of April 5, 2008.
Austin had two hits in each game of the 14u Mariner’s sweep of the NJ Blackhawks going 4 for 6 with a walk, 3 runs, 4 rbi's, and 4 stolen bases.

Good Start
Mariners 12u,13u north and 13u east started a combined 8-3 this weekend at SATB and Baseball Heaven. The 12's started 2-0 before losing in playoff round to finish 2-1. 13U North team went 2-2 and went to semi-final round at SATB. The 13u East went to Baseball heaven championship before losing 4-3 to finish at 4-1 for 2nd place. Good job boys

14's win another tournament
Congrats to the 14U blue team who won the Old Bridge Pre-Season Blast beating the Colts Select 15-3. Jack Morgan was the MVP. Great start to the season with 2 tournament wins in March. Blue team in now 9-0 so far.

14's Take SATB CHAMPIONSHIP
All Mariner staff would like to congratulate Coach Kevin's 14u squad who won their first tournament of the year at SATB in Delaware by going 5-0. Great job by every member on that team.

Update On Team Apparel
For people who ordered apparel,Fleeces, BP Jackets are now in the embroider shop, Blue Sweat Shirts and Pants on B/O will be in tommorrow with Coaching Shirts. For people that have already paid for items that were B/O, will be delivered ASAP. There are new heavy Akedama Gray Hoods at the screen printer and should be in this week. Those items will be sold at games and practices. There were also several orders that came in a while ago and I am stuck with. I have left several messages on phones and e-mails with no response or payment, consider your ordered canceled. There will be no more orders taken on line. All apparel will be sold strictly at home games from now on. I do apologize for the delay on back ordered items. Akadema our sponsor and supplier is in the middle of a move and it has been little hectic for them this winter. Thank You, Scott Luna

Apparel Orders
Due to the fact that only 5 players ordered Mariner Jackets and our supplier needs a minimum order of at least 12 jackets I must cancel out those 5 orders. I will issue a refund to the 2 people who have already paid. I apologize for the inconvienience, but there is not much I can do. You may be able to order 1 at a time on MLB.com. There are several orders that are in house now. Three people ordered hats and that order will be included with the total 160 team hats order next week. Adult Small and XXl Fleeces and Batting Jerseys will be in next week. The next bulk order (other than T shirts and some odd size sweat pants) will be in (2nd week) in March. E mails have been sent out for payments. When payment is recieved your order will be delivered to your coach. No exemptions. Thank You Coach Scott Luna
